Neonatologist
Duties and responsibilities:
Neonatology is a sub specialty of pediatrics that consists of
the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill or premature newborn
infant. It is a hospital-based specialty, and is usually practiced in neonatal intensive
care units.
Salary: $133,118-$272,539
Students planning a career as a Neonatologist must begin with
an undergraduate education. A bachelor’s degree in a subject such as biology or
chemistry provides the science background necessary for admission to a medical
school.
Reflection:
I would mainly not be a Neonatologist because the pay is kind
of too little for my interest.
