Oncologist
Duties and responsibilities: A physician who specializes in
the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. After a cancer diagnosis is made, it is
the oncologist role to explain the cancer diagnosis and the meaning of the
disease stage to the patient.
Salary: $222,809-$351,598
Education: Need to have completed medical school near the top
of their class, and hold a medical license; surgical oncology fellows must have
been top performers in both medical school and a surgical residency.
Reflection: I would mainly enjoy to be a oncologist because I
get to help a patient and tell him/her about their cancer.
