What this quote means is that if you do something wrong and lie about it. For example if you're parents told you if you went to you're friends house and lied to them saying no that's choosing the wrong. You can't have a good feeling if you just lied in front of your parents face, that's just impossible to do because you are not feeling right about because it's the wrong thing.
